China's Walter Cronkite speaks to Asialink
China's Walter Cronkite speaks to Asialink

China's leading anchorman and TV personality, Rui Chenggang, reaches a global audience of hundreds of millions, redefining journalism in China through his shows on China's Central Television (CCTV).
A dynamic icon for young Chinese citizens who are becoming increasingly internationalized, Rui will speak on "The New China" to an Asialink public audience on Monday, May 15.
Having conducted over 300 interviews with world business, government, and economic leaders, including Bill Clinton, John Snow, and Jack Welch, Rui is the only Chinese anchorman working on both English and Chinese language programs.
Rui has been a columnist for Beijing Youth Daily, the most widely read newspaper in Beijing, and a visiting professor at the journalism school of China's Central Academy of Drama. He has also been named a Founding Fellow of the US-China Young Leaders Forum and a Global Leader for Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum as well as a 2005 Yale Youth Fellow.
