Kosuke Ikeda's work is based in an interest in environmental phenomena, energy and natural disaster. His work has recently been informed by Japan's 2011 earthquakes and the resulting devastation. His ongoing research project Toward the New Vision of Energy and Ecology after 3.11 is a collaborative project with artists and engineers that utilises a wide variety of technologies - from micro-power generation practices to water circulation and ecosystem generation - to investigate the relationship between energy, nature and ourselves.
