Description In Sydney, Consul General Amit Dasgupta will examine the Australia-India relationship, and discuss the key questions of whether India matters to Australia, and vice versa.  Dr. Jim Masselos from the University of Sydney will talk about the history of democracy in India, and how it is built on strong foundations.  We are also fortunate to have Hamish McDonald from The Sydney Morning Herald, who will moderate the evening and provide some analysis on the recent Indian elections.
