| Description | Presented by UNSW and the Australia India Institute. Commemorating Martyrs’ Day, The Gandhi Oration is delivered by a person whose life’s work exemplifies the ideals of Gandhi. The inaugural speaker is one of Australia's most respected leaders, who is widely recognised as the Father of Australian Reconciliation, Professor Pat Dodson. Professor Patrick Dodson has shown great leadership promoting and fostering reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. His work in this area has been marked by great tolerance and compassion. Date: Monday, 30 January 2012 Time: 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start.
