THE BOAT: Author Nam Le in Conversation with Cate Kennedy

Author_Nam Le

Melbourne-born writer Nam Le is causing an international sensation with his first book The Boat attracting a rave review from The New York Times star reviewer Michikio Kakutani using words like 'astonishing', 'powerful and remarkable'. The Boat has been the number one seller in Readings Books Music and Film's Top 10 Book for many weeks.

Le researches his stories exhaustively and is said to twist fact into fiction. A 29 year-old former corporate lawyer, he has recently been recognised in the US with several awards and fellowships, including the coveted Pushcart Prize. He is also a fiction editor of the Harvard Review.

Nam Le will appear in conversation with Cate Kennedy. This event is presented by Asialink and Readings Books Music & Film.
