Asialink is pleased to announce the appointment of new Asialink Chairman, Mr Sidney Myer.

Mr Myer replaces Mr Carrillo Gantner AO who has stepped down after 13 years as Chairman. Mr Gantner has accepted a position as Patron of Asialink, joining other patrons, Mr Baillieu Myer AO, Sir Ninian Stephen, former Governor-General, and Professor Wang Gungwu, Director of the East Asia Institute, National University of Singapore.

Asialink is also pleased to announce that Mr Philip Flood AO, former Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Mr Peter Yates, Managing Director of Allco Equity Partners Limited, are the new Deputy Chairs of Asialink.

Asialink, based at the University of Melbourne, is Australia's leading centre for the promotion of public understanding between Australia and Asia.
