A Night of Stories: Thailand - Peter Mares in conversation with author Angela Savage

Wednesday, 7 June 2006

Savage has brought the streets of Thailand vividly to life in Behind the Night Bazaar, her unforgettable debut novel which was featured at a recent Asialink Night of Stories event at the Sidney Myer Asia Centre. Behind the Night Bazaar won the 2004 Victorian Premier's Literary Award for an unpublished manuscript and is published by Text Publishing.

At Asialink she spoke with Peter Mares who presents 'The National Interest' on ABC Radio National every Sunday at noon.

Spending several weeks at No. 1 on the best fiction list, Behind the Night Bazaar, is a must read for lovers of this genre.

This was the sixth in Asialink's popular Night of Stories series, following Sri Lanka, China, India, Laos and Indonesia and was supported by Readings Books and Music.
