Gala Dinner with Ambassador for the Republic of Indonesia,
Mr Hamzah Thayeb
Asialink and AEF were pleased to welcome the Ambassador for the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Mr Hamzah Thayeb, who attended the Gala Dinner celebrating the Endeavour Bahasa Indonesia Language Fellowships.
Funded by the Australian Government and managed by AEF, this inaugural Bahasa Indonesia programme is a part of the popular Endeavour Language Teacher Fellowships Programme.
2006 is the first year that Endeavour has included a program for teachers of Bahasa Indonesian which acknowledges the importance of Australia's relationship with Indonesia and teachers' knowledge about Indonesia and Islam.
