Keen to include galleries’ involvement from around Australia, Asialink approached Cairns Regional Gallery to work towards preparing an exhibition from their perspective for tours. As is often the case, the selection and focus of artists comes from a different, important kernel of understanding than from more major centres, with works that expand the scope of what Australian art can be.
This exhibition and performance of predominantly Queensland artists toured to Manila and Cairns (1998-1999).
