Dinah Dysart, is a member of the Australia-China Council, an editor and publisher in the field of contemporary Asian art and was a museum director from 1981 to1992.

Mabel Lee is Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and is co-editor of two University of Sydney series: the East Asian Series and the World Literature Series. She has won international recognition for her translation of Soul Mountain, a novel by 2000 Nobel Laureate Gao Xingjian.

David Ambrose began his professional life as an academic at the University of Western Australia but then moved into diplomacy. He has been four times in China, posted twice in Beijing, Hong Kong and most recently finished a term as Australian Consul General in Shanghai. Earlier, he headed the International Cultural Relations Branch of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade so he knows the cultural side from there. He is one of our very best analysts in the Government of contemporary Chinese politics and cultural change.
