Indonesian Arts Management practice booklets

Three how-to booklets on Arts Management practice, initiated by Asialink Arts, have launched in Jakarta by Ambassador Bill Farmer to wide interest. 6000 have been printed and only 2000 are left after two weeks.

Topics covered are Exhibition Touring, Event and Festival Management, and Community Cultural Development practice, in Indonesian only, and can be downloaded for use:
The texts are provided by the National Exhibition Touring Support (Vic), the University of Technology, Sydney and CCD NSW, edited and translated by Asialink, printed and launched by Kelola, Asialink’s long term partner in Indonesia. The whole project is supported by The Ford Foundation, Jakarta.

The purpose has been to provide Indonesians with easy access to arts management methodology, in texts made relevant to local lndonesian conditions, in the local language, and accessible free through Kelola’s and Asialink’s website.

There is interest in similar publications in other languages of the region.
