Residencies

The Asialink Performing Arts Residency Program, which began in 1996, has involved Australian performing artists across dance, music, theatre, hybrid and new media arts practice undertaking residencies of up to three months hosted by an Asian arts organisation. Performing artists challenge and expand their artistic horizons against a rich fabric of artistic dialogue and cultural interaction. Up to 10 residencies are offered annually. The creative kaleidoscope of activities ranges from artists working in circus in East Timor, with new media architecture in Japan, exploring the ancient musical and dance traditions of India, designing sets in Vietnam and creating Shakespeare in Indonesia.

2009 Performing Arts Residency Applications are open.
Applications close Friday 5 September, 2008.

We aim to advise applicants of selection outcomes in December.
