General funding information for all arts form programs

Asialink receives funding from a wide variety of government agencies. These agencies co‐fund some residencies, and residency applications are forwarded to co‐funders for comment. For a full list of co‐funding agencies see page 4 of the application information form.

From time to time co‐funding agencies have additional criteria that they apply to the use of their funds. In the case of residencies to India in 2010, some
may be co‐funded by the Australia India Council (AIC). The AIC has advised that for applicants to receive AIC co‐funded residencies the AIC will apply the following criteria:

Australia‐India Council Criteria

  • quality of work

  • demonstrated capacity to work successfully in a challenging environment

  • demonstrated capacity to work directly with available materials

  • demonstrated capacity to network widely/experience in community networking

  • demonstrated capacity to maintain diplomatic relations irrespective of circumstances

  • consideration of the qualities Australia will showcase to India through selection of the resident

Please note that failure to meet the AIC criteria will not exclude an applicant for consideration by the Asialink selection committees.
