How are participants assessed?
The Asialink Leaders Program is run in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Melbourne and Sydney are run consecutively from March to December. Brisbane participants undertake the majority of the program in Sydney, including workshops and dinner series. As part of the program, the Brisbane participants also have the opportunity to attend two dinners hosted in Brisbane. Check out our sample programs [PDF, 329kb, 1 page] for more information.
A letter will be sent to notify you of whether you have been successful in reaching the interview stage. If unsuccessful, we would encourage you to continue your Asia-focused work and reapply the next year. If successful, an interview will be arranged with a panel, consisting of the program director, program manager and alumni of the program. Following the interviews, successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the program by phone and letter.
What does the program cost?
The program fees cover all costs relating to scheduled events of the program, except where travel and accommodation is concerned in relation to the five-day Canberra retreat.
There are many benefits to participating in the Asialink Leaders Program.
Upon completion of the Leaders Program you become part of the Asialink family, and are invited to public events, conferences, and given other opportunities to participate in specialist events.
In addition, you are welcomed into the Asialink Leaders Program alumni network. This is a diverse, strong and vibrant network of leaders working across the globe.
Successful applicants are outstanding emerging and current leaders from a diverse range of sectors including corporate, education, community, media, environment, government, the arts, and many more.
Participants are generally between 28 and 55 years old, and hold a leadership position within their organisation. Participants come from a range of backgrounds, some with little Asia experience and some with extensive knowledge of the region.

The contact required for this program is 115 hours in total for all workshops, dinner series and the Canberra retreat. For a breakdown of this commitment over the year, please see our sample programs [PDF, 329kb, 1 page]. Some time is also required outside these contact hours to complete the Asialink Workplace Project.
Asialink Leaders Program facilitators are Asia specialists. The team also includes experts in cross-cultural communication and leadership.

The Asialink Leaders Program is not a formally accredited course, however this program is recognised by a diverse range of Australia’s leading employers.
