Insurance Australia Group


Brendan Rowbotham is a Business Development Manager with Insurance Australia Group (IAG), where he has worked for the last 8 years.  He holds Senior Associate level membership with the Australian New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, ANZIIF (Snr Assoc) and is a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (MIIA Aust).   His professional interests and areas of study include Risk Management, Reinsurance and Leadership.

Brendan currently leads a team of Specialists who manage both national strategy, frameworks and approximately 460 external providers in the supply of goods and services to IAG.

He was able to attend the Asialink Leaders Program after being successful in winning an IAG scholarship, sponsored by their CEO of Asia.  Brendan considers this opportunity to be his biggest professional achievement in his career to date and brings to life a strong desire to improve Asia - Australia engagement through leadership.  IAG is continuing to expand into the Asian Region and Brendan's focus is to work in one of IAG's Asian Insurance operations in a leadership role.

His social interests include cycling, where he still regularly competes at an elite level, and spending time with his young family.
