Luisa Rust is a Senior Export Advisor in Austrade’s Food and Beverage industry team. Luisa has over 10 years of professional experience assisting companies grow their business offshore.
Luisa joined Austrade’s Food and Beverage Team in 2004 where she works with Australian food and beverage companies to establish and grow their export sales in various categories focusing on the wine sector. This role involves working with companies to find distributors, participate in offshore promotional activities such as trade shows and introduction of international buyers on buying missions. Luisa also works closely with the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation with their overseas activities particularly in Asia.
Luisa has had export management roles in the sheepskin and wine industry working in markets of USA, Europe, North East Asia and South East Asia.
Prior to joining Austrade, Luisa worked as Sales and Marketing Manager with a boutique vineyard in the Yarra Valley. This role included developing and growing export sales in markets of Japan, UK and USA.
Luisa graduated from Sydney University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Economics and also completed a Diploma in International Trade Management from the Institute of Export. Luisa also completed Master of Business, International Marketing from University of Technology, Sydney in 2004.
Luisa’s previous experience has been working for JETRO and Australian Business Ltd where Luisa assisted companies to develop and grow their export markets. Her work has included market studies, international marketing strategies and export business plans. Luisa participated in the AUSAID Youth Ambassador Program in 2000 working in Vanuatu developing and implementing a marketing strategy for the National Bank of Vanuatu.
