Rob has a degree from RMIT in Economics and Finance. From his teenage years Rob began to study Chinese and after a study tour to China in 1996 his thoughts have seldom strayed far from China. He was lucky enough to study in Jiangsu Province whilst at high school for 3 months on exchange. After completing university studies Rob spent a year living again in Jiangsu Province this time in the capital on Nanjing teaching English. Whilst teaching English Rob gained many valuable friendships and improved his spoken Chinese considerably. Since returning from China he has completed a Diploma in Advanced Business Language at RMIT and hopes to be able to live and work in China again in the future. In his spare time Rob enjoys spending time at the beach or Marathon kayaking. Rob has competed in the Murray River Marathon on seven occasions and has been part of a winning relay team.
