Mr Benjamin Mak

Audit Manager
PricewaterhouseCoopers

Ben Mak joined PwC in Jan 2001 in their graduate recruitment program. He is currently a manager specialising in providing assurance services for the wealth management industry in Sydney.

Ben’s focus in Asialink is due to his own background as an Australian Chinese and also PwC’s focus in China. PwC innovative strategies has seen the Australian practice recruit and train graduates for the China practice and also look into outsourcing opportunities to the Indian practice. These strategies has seen Ben being involved with talent management strategies with a focus in integration of different cultures and involved in the pilot study into the offshoring project to Kolkata.

Ben has recently returned from PwC’s global leadership program called Genesis Park. Located in Washington, DC, Genesis Park is a professional development program combining elements of strategic projects and thought leadership, team-building, change management, and knowledge sharing. The Park brings together high potential staff and immerses them in an intense program that prepares them to drive cultural change within PwC. Genesis Park has been featured in the Financial Times and Harvard Management Update, and cited as an innovative approach to leadership development by HR Executive, and other leading HR publications.

Ben lives in Sydney and enjoys golf, reading, a game of pokes and believes that he is a budding culinary specialist.
