Tim has always has a general interest in Asia and a great passion for hearing new ideas, meeting new people and helping make Australia a better place.

He is currently a Special Adviser to the Commonwealth Attorney-General. He advises on international law, constitutional law, intellectual property and commonwealth litigation. In that role he has advised the Australian Government on issues relating to Australia’s relationship with Asia such as the Australia-China Free Trade Agreement, intellectual property enforcement in APEC and Japanese whaling.

It was in July last year that Tim resolved to apply for the Asialink program. He attended an enjoyable Canberra event of the program with the Attorney-General. Soon after he traveled to China, Cambodia and Philippines and realised he wanted to learn deepen his knowledge of the region. 

Tim is traveling to China in May 2007 to represent Australia in an Australian Political exchange Council delegation and to Singapore through a Scholarship to a regional intellectual property capacity building conference.

Before working for the Attorney-General, Tim worked for 8 months as an Adviser to the Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts and was a Senior Associate at Blake Dawson Waldron, a premier Australian law firm.

Tim lives in Sydney but grew up in Perth and has lived in Melbourne and Canberra. He surfs, runs, enjoys food, friends and seeing live music.
