Born in Geelong and raised in the Mallee region of Victoria, Ben has an appreciation of both urban and rural Australia. After graduating with a Psychology major from La Trobe University, Ben worked in the field of Child Protection for many years leading a team responsible for investigating and prosecuting cases of child abuse and maltreatment. Ben also has significant experience managing programs in disability services and housing.
After many years of working in the area of community health Ben moved to Europe where he worked as a tour manager, primarily based in London and Paris. In this role he was responsible for bus tour operations for a company that serviced the European Union and a number of other countries in Eastern Europe.
Ben currently works for a tertiary institution in Melbourne as a senior marketing manager and oversees the development of marketing and engagement strategies for the GCC, Iran, Russia, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia. This is an exciting industry which provides him with the opportunity to travel and work in a number of different countries.
