Ms Renee Hindmarsh

PhD Candidate
Monash University

Renee Hindmarsh has a keen interest in Australia’s engagement with Asia, with a specific focus on Australia's relationship with China.

For ten years Renee worked as an Adviser to both the Victorian Government and the Federal Government, where she was involved in policy development across a range of portfolios.

More recently, Renee has established a communications consultancy called Hindmarsh Consulting.

Renee is also completing her PhD at Monash University. Her thesis examines the profitability of western companies operating in China and what factors contributed to their success or failure. She hopes her research will lead to a greater understanding of engagement with the Chinese market and ultimately help Australian businesses who are looking to expand into China.

Renee is married and her interests include travel, tennis, international politics and current affairs.
