Born in Singapore, Sherman gained his education and training in the UK, Singapore and Australia. He has a comprehensive understanding of Australian and Asian cultures and speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese.
Sherman joined Westpac in 2004. Prior to this he spent 10 years working for both Citibank and HSBC in both their Australia and Singapore operations building experience and expertise in a large range of financial services, including private and commercial banking, credit control, branch network, strategy and business development.
