Kathy is an Indonesian and Linguistics graduate of the Australian National University and has completed postgraduate studies in Indonesian and a MEd in Curriculum Design. 

Kathy has taught at all levels of education in Australia and Indonesia and is currently Principal of Campbell Primary School in the ACT. She began her association with Asialink and the Asia Education Foundation in 1993 when she established the Studies of Asia Program in Canberra and enjoyed working in this role for six years. Kathy has been instrumental in developing teacher expertise in the Studies of Asia with a particular focus on Indonesia and intercultural understanding. She has led numerous teacher study tours to Indonesia and managed the Australia-Indonesia Teacher Exchange Program. 

Kathy has written several publications that are included in the suite of curriculum materials published by the Asia Education Foundation and Curriculum Corporation and continues to present professional learning activities on these resources. Kathy chairs the Leading Principal Project Group for Studies of Asia in the ACT and continues to play a key role in shaping the direction of ACT school participation in the Leading 21 Century Schools: Engage with Asia national initiative.
