Asha Mason is a Sydney based Operations Manager with Claxton Speakers & Trainers Bureau.
Claxton's represent leaders in their chosen fields for corporate speaking engagements (eg Marcus Einfeld, Dr Jose Ramos-Horta, Dr Karl Kruzelnicki, Barbara Holborow, Richard Fidler). Their client base consists largely of Top 500 companies. Asha's role includes the contracting and coordination of each speaking engagement, with management of both the client and speaker needs.
Graduating Year 12 as Dux of her year (1990), Asha attained a BA Communications from UTS, with dual majors (Film Production & Social/Political Theory).
Prior to Claxton’s, Asha worked in the film & television industry, both in Sydney and LA, including production coordination for MTV (Australia), and research for Castlerock Entertainment (USA).
After seeing David Suzuki speak about EYA Canada, she contacted his office about forming a local branch. With a small network of contacts she launched EYA in Australia in 1990, holding an international conference with guest speakers from Australia and Canada. This involved strong teamwork and dedication, as well as raising financial support. EYA had 4,000 new members in its first 12 months.
General areas of interest include film, photography, writing, reading and swimming. She has travelled widely around the USA & Europe.
