Louise attributes her passion for the Asia Pacific to living in multicultural Darwin in her teens. Louise has spent over 15 years studying, travelling, and working in or closely with the Asia Pacific. She speaks Thai, Japanese and Indonesian and after graduating from ANU spent 3 years working in Bangkok.
Louise is now with the international training and consulting company of the University of New South Wales. She works with government agencies in the region to alleviate poverty and promote good governance. Louise believes that working at a grassroots level can help build the mutual respect, understanding and relationships required to improve Australia Asia relations in the long term.
