I have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Business
Systems. A few years ago, I also attained a Certificate in Public Relations.
I am passionate about Asian culture and have spent considerable time travelling throughout a number of countries in the region including China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea and Japan.
I was also fortunate to have been accepted into the Summer School program at the Beijing Language and Cultural University in 1998. This was a fantastic experience that introduced me to many aspects (mainly good and occasionally bad) of Chinese culture and food and I also made many friends from around the world including the USA and Europe, both while at the University and on my travels.
In my (not so) free time, I enjoy travelling when I can, doing pilates, indoor rock climbing (or rather... falling), watching films (any genre, but preferably foreign) and reading in a hammock or at the beach.
I have worked as a trainee investment manager, an assistant buyer, a retail analyst, a public relations coordinator, an IT project manager and very recently joined the City of Melbourne's Sustainable Business and Trade Development branch. Our current projects promote a much bigger focus on international trade opportunities and partnerships and hence I am looking forward to the Leadership program and what it has to offer.
