Mr Bruce Leishman

Articled Clerk, Minter Ellison

I am a lawyer at Minter Ellison working in the area of Mergers and Acquisitions. I graduated from Murdoch University with a double degree in Law and Asian Studies and promptly moved to Melbourne. In my Asian Studies degree my majors were Indonesian language and South East Asian politics, areas of interest which remain with me today. I have spent a substantial amount of time in South East Asia, including a placement in a major Kuala Lumpur law firm.

In 2001-2002 I was associate to Justice Michael Kirby of the High Court of Australia. Dividing my time between Sydney and Canberra chambers, my duties primarily concerned judgment production. When not working, I can generally be found in one of a few Melbourne bars or having heart palpitations around the Tan.
