Convenor, Asia Pacific TeamAmnesty International Australia
I've got the pleasure of being co - convenor of the Victorian Asia Pacific team, Amnesty International Australia. Amnesty International is taking the Asia Pacific region seriously and from a human rights perspective, there is work to be done. The Asia Pacific team gets others involved in Amnesty's 2003 Asia Pacific campaign and also raises much needed funds. I first joined Amnesty in 1998, as an office volunteer and then as a branch committee member and East Timor Acceleration Coordinator.
My interest in East Timor and Indonesia developed into a wider interest in the Asia Pacific region, and in September 2001, I founded the Asia Pacific team. My other roles within Amnesty International include Victorian Branch Committee member.
I have a degree in Sociology/Anthropology and a Graduate Diploma in Training and Development at the University of Melbourne. I do let myself out occasionally and I love music and ballet.
