Consultant/Economist, Delta PearlCraig Wilson is co-founder and director of Delta Pearl Ltd, the world's first consulting firm to specialise in helping multinational firms maximise the benefits of foreign direct investment in emerging economies. Delta Pearl is also serving as the adviser for the establishment of the proposed World Development Corporation.
Before founding Delta Pearl, Craig worked as a consultant economist with the World Bank's Private Sector Development Unit for East Asia and the Pacific. He continues to consult to the World Bank, along with the US Government and private clients. Most recently he worked with the University of London on a worldwide study of UN peace operations, developed the World Bank's private sector development strategy for Papua New Guinea, and joined a multi-donor international team supporting policy and budget development in newly independent East Timor.
A former Australian diplomat, Craig served in Jakarta (1992-1995) and Phnom Penh (1997-1999). He is also a part-time PhD candidate in economics at the University of Queensland. He has undergraduate and graduate qualifications from Griffith, Deakin and Columbia universities.
