Fiona Nixon is a director of Minifie Nixon Architects and a Lecturer in Architecture at RMIT University. Her expertise is in the design of complex buildings in the public realm including museums, libraries and hotels. At RMIT she coordinates the architectural technology subject area and teaches seminars in Asian Architecture.
Prior to establishing her own practice Fiona worked on prominent Melbourne buildings such as the Museum and Exhibition Centre and spent three years in Singapore designing projects across Asia. Minifie Nixon recently completed the 'Centre for Ideas' at the VCA and in 2003 was selected as one of eight firms to represent Australia on an Architect's cultural mission to China sponsored by Austrade and the RAIA.
Fiona graduated from RMIT University with an honours degree in Architecture and a graduate diploma with distinction in Software Development. She is a registered architect and a member of the Victorian chapter council of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects
