Jessamine Lumley

Ms Jessamine Lumley

Solicitor
Deacons

Jessamine is a lawyer at Deacons working in the area of Business Recovery. She graduated from the University of Western Australia with a double degree in Law and Asian Studies, and her areas of interest include Indonesian language, Southeast Asian politics and history, and contemporary China. In 2000 Jessamine studied on exchange in the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, B.C. taking subjects such as Asian Legal Systems, Trade and Investment Law in China, and European Union Law. During her studies she travelled through Southeast Asia, Europe and North America and moved to Melbourne two years ago to commence her position with Deacons.

In her free time she likes running, yoga, listening to electronic music and jazz, reading sci-fi, painting, learning Spanish and watching foreign / art house films. One day she would like to travel through South America to put her Spanish lessons to good use, and also to complete her masters in an Asian-related discipline (though not at the same time!).
