Ross is married with two young children, James 9 and Elyse 4 and he lives in Parkdale. Ross has served with Victoria Police Force for 27 years and currently holds the rank of Inspector. He has carried out duties within General Policing Department, the Crime Department, Ethical Standards Department and Corporate Management, Training Department and now in Executive leadership & development at the Airlie College.
Ross was selected to form part of the implementation team for the introduction of Local Safety Committees under Local Priority Policing.
In 1996, he completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Police Studies through Monash University. Ross has been selected to participate in the Police Management Development Program through the Australian Institute of Police Management and will complete a Graduate Certificate in Management through the program.
He completed a six month secondment to the Justice Department, Crime Prevention Victoria business unit, prior to transferring to the Training Department.
Ross' interests include keeping up with two young children, the Richmond football club, water sports of all sorts and collecting old Australian currency (because I am not very good at collecting the new stuff). Ross has travelled quite extensively throughout the world and looks forward to continuing to travel both within Australia and Overseas. (Next stop is the Gold Coast for the theme parks)
