Jennifer Curtis has contributed to global education for over 17 years. She has taught students from Kindergarten to Year 12 in NSW, the Fiji Islands, London and Singapore, where she was Deputy Principal-Curriculum at the Australian International School. Currently, Jennifer's role is Access Asia State Coordinator - NSW, where she provides teachers with professional development opportunities, and teaching and learning activities, to include the studies of Asia into their school curriculum.
Jennifer believes that the study of Asia is vital for our society as it leads students and teachers to cultural understanding and acceptance. Jennifer's current priority is to further extend her own knowledge about Asia, through a union of subject matter, concepts and methodologies that connect many disciplines and cultural narratives.
Jennifer is treasurer of the Asian Education Teachers' Association and on the Board of the Centre for Environmental Education - Australia.
