Katrina is a lawyer with Deacons and practices in banking and finance law. Her work involves representing banks and companies in corporate finance, acquisition finance and project finance transactions. Deacons is a major Australian law firm with offices in many countries in Asia including Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam.
Katrina completed her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws at Monash University in Melbourne before re-locating to Sydney where she has lived for the past five years. She spent one year working for the law firm Lubis Ganie Surowidjojo in Jakarta in 1997-1998. Katrina also lived in Japan for one year on a high-school exchange and later for six months whilst researching her Honours thesis.
Currently, Katrina maintains her interest in Indonesia through her involvement as Chairperson (NSW) of the Australia-Indonesia Business Council. She hopes that her participation in the Asialink leadership program will allow her to build on her leadership skills and develop her understanding of Australia's place in the region.
