Ms Sally Fielke
CEOAustralian Hotels Association
Originally from South Australia, Sally moved to Darwin to study a Bachelor of Arts/Law. It was here that her interest in Asia emerged. Now directly neighbouring Indonesia, Sally elected to study Indonesian Language and Culture as well as South-East Asian politics. As part of her law degree she also majored in International Legal Systems and studied "in country" in Israel, China and Indonesia. In between Sally took almost two years off to work in Japan and explore many other parts of Asia. This was a fantastic experience that only heightened her curiosity and intrigue regarding Asian cultures and, more specifically, the cross cultural differences between Australia and Asia.
Sally moved to Brisbane three years ago for a change of scenery and commenced work with Hopgood Ganim Lawyers where she currently still practices, predominantly in Litigation. Currently a committee member of Asialink, Brisbane, Sally is also endeavouring to merge her interest in Asia with her profession.
In her spare time, apart from reading and playing any sport possible, Sally has discovered that she can exist almost entirely on wine and cheese.
