After a varied education including pure maths, impure actuarial science, bad schoolgirl hockey and good times had during her senior year in Santa Barbara, Vanessa began an actuarial career in Sydney.
Several years later having enjoyed the challenge, respected the rigour but loathed the exams Vanessa was ready for some downtime in Lombok, Indonesia.
Twelve months later Vanessa had relocated to London, given away the actuarial profession and switched to banking.
Having returned to Australia to take up an Asia Pacific role with her former mentor at ING Investment Management Vanessa came to truly understand the joys of international time zones, late night conference calls and explaining financial models over the phone.
