Helen Stitt works as a Senior Policy Officer for the Office of the Emergency Services Commissioner in the Victorian Government. Helen holds a Batchelor of Arts majoring in Australian politics and public policy from the Australian National University.
Prior to joining the Office of the Emergency Services Commissioner, Helen worked in Telecommunications. Helen has previously worked for the Australian Communications Authority and as an analyst for a specialist telecommunications consultancy that primarily in the Asian markets, with a focus in Malaysia.
Helen has been active in the university sector, during her time as an undergraduate she was President of the Students’ Association of the Australian National University and a member of University Council.
Helen has a keen, ongoing interest in the Asian region, having also previously studied Asian History and Culture. In her spare time, she is an active member of the ANU Alumni chapter in Melbourne and enjoys travel and reading fiction and history.
