Jeremy's professional career has included stints in government and the private sector. He spent five years working with the federal government’s Agency for International Development (AusAID), which involved working in the complex policy environment of the Australian government’s mission in Papua New Guinea. Jeremy also spent time working as a research officer for Cross Country Productions, a nation-wide agribusiness television series that informed Australians of important issues facing rural Australia, and one year working with Amazonian communities in Ecuador as part of a community development program. Most recently Jeremy has taken on a new job as Economic Adviser for the Department of Premier & Cabinet.
Jeremy is interested in developing a deeper understanding and experience of Asia to help foster long-term relations with the Asia-Pacific region and to improve joint cooperation between respective government organisations when confronting regional issues.
