Cameron O’Reilly, 39, is a Director and Chief Operating Officer of CPR Communications & Public Relations Pty Ltd “CPR”, a national public affairs and financial communications agency. CPR is part of Photon Group Ltd, a marketing services conglomerate which listed on the ASX in April, 2004.

Cameron came to CPR after five years working in public affairs and business development with two large publicly listed companies, Leighton Holdings Ltd and Spotless Group Ltd. While at Spotless he held a senior management position related to the company’s contract to provide food services in the athletes’ village at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Prior to working in the private sector, Cameron was for five years a policy adviser and speechwriter for the Hon. Laurie Brereton MP, the Transport and Industrial Relations Minister in the Keating Government.

Aside from his role at CPR, Cameron has been an occasional newspaper columnist for the Melbourne Age newspaper, having had nineteen opinion pieces published since 1998, and is a regular public relations commentator for ABC Radio in Sydney. He is also a Director of the Australian support arm for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UHHCR).

Cameron was formerly Chairman of a bipartisan political exchange program, the Australia Asia Young Leaders Program Inc (AAYLP) in which capacity he travelled extensively in South East Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from Sydney University and completed a Master of Public Policy and Management at Monash University in Melbourne.
