Mr Daniel Roney
Design Resource
Daniel Roney has a strong interest in the development of knowledge based enterprises servicing the manufacturing industry in both the domestic and the growing Asian economies. He believes that the ability of Australian enterprises to engage and provide products and services of value to our Asian neighbours will have a significant effect on the future economic prosperity of our country.
Daniel has recently relocated to Sydney and teamed up with Mentor John Brown at Design Resource where he has taken on a role in new business development. As an established consultancy the focus is on strengthening domestic business and building sustainable international relations to allow further growth abroad.
Daniel has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design from Monash University and is currently mid-way through a Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship. He is also a member of the Victorian Government’s Manufacturing Industry Consultative Council which is the key manufacturing advisory body to the Minister for Manufacturing & Export.
His first insight into Asia was during his engineering degree when he completed a placement in Thailand. After committing to his own business, he has participated in business trips, trade shows and government trade delegations throughout Asia.
