Fred has been involved in the technology industry for the better part of 10 years. With a degree in Business Information Technology from the UNSW, he has been involved primarily in the Internet Technology space and currently runs his own technology consultancy, Redbrick Technologies. Over this time he has worked in Asia, the UK and the USA.
With an interest in social issues and the impact of technology to ‘connect’, Fred co-founded MedTech Outreach Australia (MedTech Outreach) in 2000. MedTech Outreach is an Australian NGO engaged in addressing the digital divide and facilitating capacity building in developing nations, through the application of emerging technologies. The organisation has established a sustainable web based tele-medicine system, Medgnosis, that aids diagnostic and treatment decisions, and enhances medical knowledge sharing in Developing Nations.
Last year Fred further pursued his interest in Health undertaking a Masters of Public Health at the University of Sydney.
In his ‘spare’ time he pursues other interests, including surfing, playing guitar, reading and spending time at the pub!
