The Rainbow Bridge
Kate has recently been appointed manager for The Rainbow Bridge project – linking primary schools in Australia with schools and orphanages in the tsunami-affected areas. As a new person into the arena of Australia-Asia relationships and the world of international aid, Kate seeks to gain a greater understanding of cross cultural communication and ways in which to establish connections, education opportunities and more understanding and acceptance in our young people.
With a background in social work, marketing, training, media relations, management and running her own business Kate has had a varied work history mostly focused on youth and the not for profit sector. She has worked in the areas such as youth education and leadership, facilitating programs for people living with loss, grief and trauma and event management. Kate is passionate about creating a world in which young people want to belong through inspiring opportunities for youth to contribute, learn and grow.
