Nick Pelham is currently a Melbourne based Senior Consultant with the Engineering and Project Management consultancy firm, Sinclair Knight Merz. He works within the Heavy Industry unit of the company, and specialises in Project Management. At present he is working as the SKM lead consultant with the aerospace company, Boeing. Out at Boeing's Port Melbourne site, they are preparing a facility that will house the 787 Production Group, who are designing and manufacturing carbon fibre wing components for the new 787 'Dreamliner' aircraft project, run from Seattle, USA. The project will reportedly bring $2b of revenue to Victoria over the next 18 years.

Prior to working on this project, Nick worked in the Melbourne and Canberra offices of SKM, undertaking project management roles of various large projects. Nick gained a B.Sc from the University of New South Wales, and has undertaken post-graduate studies in Project Management and International Politics. He has qualifications in management, project management, complex procurement, work place assessment & training, and contract management.

Nick was an Officer in the Royal Australian Navy for 7 yrs, and was fortunate to travel extensively during that time, including through various parts of Asia and all over Australia. Outside of the workplace, Nick is a active member with Rotary International. From 2001-03, Nick was the District 9710 Chairman of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award. As a part of this role, Nick also travelled to Hong Kong and the US to observe in different leadership programs. He has participated with international projects, such as working with Rotary International, Canberra Institute of Technology and the Dili Institute of Technology to coordinate building of classrooms and delivery of technical books to the Institute. He works closely with the Australian Institute of Project Management, and has held a role of Councillor with the AIPM (2002-05).

Nick's interest in Asia has been gained through formal study, travel through out Asia, and work related activities.
