Matthew Terpstra works for the Australian Trade Commission as an export adviser that assists Australian companies in the agribusiness and consumer sectors to export to new international markets throughout the world.
Matthew has previously worked for the Japan External Trade Organization as a Trade Development Officer, where he assisted Australian companies enter the Japanese market in the information technology, healthcare, and environmental technology sectors. He has also previously worked for the Australia-Japan Research Centre within the Asia Pacific School of Economics and Management at the Australian National University.
He has completed a Masters of Commerce in International Business at the University of New South Wales, and a Bachelor of Asian Studies (Honours) and Economics from the Australian National University. Matthew has also studied at a Japanese University and High School as an exchange student and speaks fluent Japanese.
Matthew has a strong interest in assisting Australian companies to develop appropriate international marketing strategies for the Asia Pacific region.
