Phil began his career with the Public Transport Commission of NSW in the mid 70’s as a cadet engineer, He was involved in the maintenance and capital works areas of electrical supply and reticulation infrastructure for the rail network and later was responsible the delivery of EMUs and DMUs for the State Rail Authority.
After more than 20 years he left the State Rail Authority and began work with Alstom Australia in the Rail Transport group. In Alstom Phil was responsible for the Infrastructure and Rolling Stock Business Development activity across Australia and New Zealand.
Today, Phil is responsible for strategy and business development for United Group Rail following the purchase of the business and assets of Alstom Australia Transport which has recently reached completion.
An expanded role means Phil is also responsible for development of the United rail footprint in infrastructure and rolling stock internationally with a special focus on activity in the Asian region more generally.
