After completing a BA (Asian Studies - Politics and Japanese) and Master of Commerce (International Business and Mandarin) at UNSW, Rachel spent almost five years working in Hong Kong for Goldman Sachs on their Asian Equities desk. Missing Hong Kong, but looking forward to new challenges and a career in diplomacy, Rachel moved to Australia to take up a position with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). She is currently the Deputy State Director of DFAT's office in Sydney.
