More than 200,000 primary and secondary teachers from across Australia have participated in professional learning programmes on Asia. Programmes include workshops, short courses, online networks, post-graduate courses and study tours and exchanges to Asia.
More information, including downloadable copies of programmes, is available from the AEF’s website.
The Asian Languages Professional Learning Project is an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Education, Science and Training funded through the Quality Teacher Programme. The programme supports the teaching of Asian languages in schools through innovative, practical professional development focussing on languages methodology, particularly intercultural language learning, and links across the curriculum.
