Asialink's new Arts Director - Lesley Alway
Lesley Alway, Asialink’s newly appointed Arts Director, discusses some career highlights so far and articulates her vision for Australia-Asia arts engagement in the next 20 years.
‘We need to develop sound partnerships, people-to-people relationships and a strong sense of reciprocity between Asia and Australia’, she said.
Lesley has extensive arts management experience, having been Director of Arts Victoria, Artbank, Heide Museum of Art, and CEO of Sotheby’s Australia, as well as Chair of the Visual Arts Board of the Australia Council. Her specialist area is visual arts, but she has a wider knowledge across the arts.
