Jazz Musician Willow Neilson's residency in Shanghai
Saxophonist Willow Neilson used his Asialink residency to collaborate with Chinese Jazz and traditional musicians, and to compose and perform new works blending modern and traditional Chinese music with contemporary influences. His residency enabled him to deepen his ties to the JZ club and music school in Shanghai through collaboration with artists there, and Neilsen has since returned to Shanghai to live.
