Poet Terry Jaensch on air-travel

In this video Terry Jaensch delivers a poem about air travel as part of Six Poets Speak Softly, the first event in the Asialink Winter Writing Series 2010.

Terry Jaensch is poet/monologist/actor based in Melbourne. His first book of poetry Buoy (2001) was highly commended in the Anne Elder Award by the Fellowship of Australian Writers.  Highly regarded as a reader/performer of his own work and that of others, Terry has a background in acting having studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory and the Herbert Berghof Studio in New York City.  In 2004/05 he was the recipient of an Asialink residency in Singapore, which allowed collaboration with Singaporean poet Cyril Wong.  The resulting work Excess Baggage & Claim (2007) was launched in Australia and in Singapore as a part of the Australia Festival.

This video was recorded on Wednesday 19 May, 2010 at the Yasuko Hiraoka Myer Room in the Sidney Myer Asia Centre, Melbourne.
